Under the leadership of their founder and director, Minister Michael E. Fletcher, the Chorale has maintained a unique artistry and style of music ministry that is second to none. The Michael Fletcher Chorale consists of a group of saved and anointed artists who minister with conviction as they spread the love of God through song and tell the world that “Jesus still saves.” The Michael Fletcher Chorale has participated with national organizations such as the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Gospel Music Workshop of America and Bishop Paul S. Morton and the Full Gospel Baptist Convention. The music ministry of this aggregation has taken them across the length and breadth of the United States. The Chorale has also had the opportunity to minister with gospel legends such as the late Bishop Walter Hawkins, Yolanda Adams, Minister Kirk Franklin and the Family, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, the late Reverend James Moore, Douglas Miller, Wanda Nero Butler, the Clark Sisters, Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole and Evangelist Dorothy Norwood. The Chorale has also worked with the legendary Queen of Soul, Ms. Aretha Franklin, in past years. In their 33 year history, The Michael Fletcher Chorale has had the distinct honor of recording three music projects on the Sound of Gospel label, Jesus…He’s the One, The Michael Fletcher Chorale Live produced by the late Maestro Thomas A. Whitfield and Highest Praise produced by Pastor Rudolph Stanfield Jr. In 2000, the Chorale was privileged to record with Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole on her first live solo project on the GospoCentric record label. In August 2002, the Chorale was featured as the Detroit Super Choir at the historic Music Hall Center with Dr. Bobby Jones during the BET Road show tapings. On December 30, 2012, Minister Fletcher and the Chorale celebrated 30 years of music ministry with a reunion concert featuring current members, musicians and MFC alumni. In honor of Minister Fletcher’s 30th Anniversary, the Chorale presented him with an Honorary Doctorate in Music from Union Baptist Seminary. God has done wonderful and glorious things for The Michael Fletcher Chorale. Through faith, perseverance, dedication, determination and much prayer the Chorale will continue to “Look and Live.”
